VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES – GETTING INVOLVED

Currently, we are racing against the clock to remove as much moisture from flooded homes as possible in order to prevent or minimize mold growth. This is a health hazard to workers and homeowners, and complicates the remediation process. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND USE of PPE (PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT) SUCH AS GLOVES, FILTRATION MASKS, AND PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR

WHENEVER WORKING IN WATER-SOAKED ENVIRONMENTS. We do have limited PPE available for volunteer’s use, but encourage volunteers to source their own PPE to make sure it fits and is comfortable and effective for a particular user.

We have categorized 4 different levels of intensity for volunteers, ranging from least to most degree of physical intensity and skill. From now on, we will specify which level applies to a particular relief project, so you can gauge your own ability to safely and effectively participate in a given project.
